"Come on, Joel, don't be a pussy! We've all been in there like ten times!" Joel's friends egged him on as all five of them stared down the path into the dark forest, "It's just a forest, are you scared that some 'evil monster's' gonna getcha?" His one friend started doing a chicken impression. Joel turned around and snarled at him, "Screw you, Jake! I'm tired of having the piss taken out of me by you douchebags! Look! I'm walking in right now! You know what? Why not stay here the whole night?! Because I will! You'll see! I'll prove that I'm not a pussy!" He yelled, already thirty metres into the forest. He looked back and saw the light of the sun disappearing, and deep down, he already started to regret this stupid bet. This forest was rumoured to be haunted, and going into it alone was seen as being very brave, but absolutely insane in his hometown. The forest was meant to be an area with a dark history, with many suicides, murders and even activity of Devil worshippers in the area. With his heart pounding in my chest, Joel started to get a bad feeling about this whole thing, a voice which was telling me to get the hell out of there echoed in the back of his mind. But by then, he already knew it was too late…

It was a calm and peaceful evening. Birds were singing along with the calm gusts of the wind. Sora took a deep breath as he stepped out of his cave. His black scales were shining in the fading light and his red eyes helped him to see in the dark. He was one of the protectors of the forest. Even though his outside appearence was really scary, he lived in peace with the forest animals and only killed if it was necessary. He didn't really need to hunt since he didn't need any food, but still did it from time to time to get the respect of every single animal in the forest. The only real problem were the humans. They were getting more and more frequent and from time to time, some stupid teenagers came into his forest and left their garbage or hunters who were hunting illegally. But Sora had his own way in dealing with those unwanted guests.

Joel slowly made his way through the dark, gloomy forest. He cringed at every single noise that reached his ears, including the sharp snapping of twigs, the shrill cries of forest animals and even the sound of his own footsteps on the pine-needle coated path. "Who the hell would even consider visiting this place?!" He thought to himself as he slowly carried on walking into the heart of the forest. The hairs on the back of his neck were stood up, his forehead was covered in sweat and he started to shiver. It was if this forest had an evil presence within it, and he didn't like that. Not one bit.

Sora smiled as he saw the full moon lightening the forest. It was really beautiful at night in the forest. But suddenly, the smile vanished from his face as a familiar scent came to his nose. Human. He snarled angrily. Those creatures were only causing trouble and were a danger for his forest. Slowly, Sora's body dissolved into black fog, a method he used to scare humans and to stay undiscovered. He then followed the human's scent through the forest, thinking of what to do with him.

Joel started to become so nervous, that he felt that he couldn't carry on anymore. He thought he was close to the centre, as the bad feeling within him grew ever so stronger. He checked his watch, and his eyes widened when he saw that it said '23:00'. He stared into the shadows. Now he knew that he was hopelessly lost. His phone was out of battery and no way out of the forest was visible. He kept thinking that he was walking around in circles, as all the ghoulish-looking trees looked the same. Joel slumped down against a tree. He felt like crying. This stupid bet was a terrible idea, and it seemed that Joel wouldn't find a way out until the sun came up. "I guess I'm stuck here…" He whispered, before slowly closing his eyes and giving up all hope of escape.

The demon saw the human standing in the forest. He seemed to be alone and also lost. Sora wondered what the poor child did in his forest at night. Usually, children didn't willingly go into this forest, since everyone thought it was haunted. But it still didn't change the fact that he was a human and probably only here to make trouble, so he slowly moved over to him and the black mist surrounded the boy.

Joel sighed deeply, but then, he suddenly acquired a change of attitude. As quick as a flash, he suddenly felt courageous, determined to get out of this creepy forest. What he was doing was cowardly, and nothing would change unless he got up and acted. There was no point sitting around and feeling sorry for himself. Joel opened his eyes, but then, all his courage left as quickly as it came. The area around him looked no different from when he closed his eyes. It was pitch black, and the air felt somewhat stuffy. But then, he realised that the forest hadn't  gotten darker, and instead, he was encased in a weird kind of black fog. He jumped up, took a few nervous steps backwards and stared in confusement at the mysterious cloud that had previously surrounded him. It didn't look like normal fog, it was more like smoke. Something about it was very off-putting.

Sora could feel the boy's fear as he was suddenly surrounded by black fog. He waited a few minutes. The boy always tried to get away from the fog and tried to ran out of it, but it kept surrounding him. He then concentrated and let his body reform again, right in front of the human and the fog solidified itself until it assumed the shape of a dragon and Sora opened his glowing eyes, now staring down at the boy with an aggressive look.

Joel stared at the fog in disbelief. Did it follow him? He walk backwards, before tripping over a tree root and landing harshly on his back. Then, the fog started to shift in mid-air, causing his stomach to tie into a knot. This wasn't any old fog, it was something different all together. The fog slowly started to get thicker, and Joel realised that it was solidifying into the shape of some sort of creature. Was it a bear? A boar? A bird? No. The fog was taking none of those shapes. No shape that was even slightly recognisable. This was a different creature. A creature that Joel had never seen before. The fog kept shaping itself, until a head was visible, then a tail, a huge set of wings and even a pair of horns. The most terrifying part was when it's eyes were appeared. They were a blistering blood red, and they scared him so much that he tried to scream for his help, but all that came out was a startled strangling noise. Night black scales and razor sharp claws and horns formed over it's body. Then, the true, terrible form of the creature was revealed to him. Joel's heart was in his mouth. He looking straight into the wild eyes of an evil looking creature, taken out of fairy tales and myths, and it was staring right back at him. Joel's breathing and heart rate went up rapidly when he looked the creature up and down, and he shuddered as he blood turned to ice. It was like nothing he had ever seen in his entire life. It was a dragon. Then, all the fear inside Joel was torn from within his body, and a blood-curdling scream came rushing like water out of his mouth, right from the top of his lungs.

Sora stared down at the terrified human. He could literally smell the boy's fear and saw it in his eyes. This was something completely new to him and he was probably scared for his life, what wasn't a bad thing since he wanted the human to never come again. He then slowly bent down to him and grinned, revealing his razor sharp, black teeth. His maw was glowing red through the teeth and he walked up to him until his maw was just inches away from the boy's head. "Sooo, what is a puny little human doing in my forest?" He asked growling.

Joel had never been more terrified in his entire life. Not only  was he being confronted by a monster, but this monster clearly wasn't friendly and he could even talk! He was trying to intimidate him. Joel tried to hide his fear, but it was clearly shown through his terrified eyes, and he eventually started to shake uncontrollably and make a rather quiet, nervous stuttering noise. Joel didn't know how to respond to the demonic dragon's question, and the glowing, red light coming from his eyes and within his dreadful-looking maw filled him with even more fear. "P-please… I'm s-sorry…" Joel eventually managed to say in a slow stutter, "… I-I w-was forced here by other humans… please don't hurt me. I-I'm so sorry…!" He whimpered, on the brink of tears. He tried to crawled backwards before realising that the dragon had him up against a huge tree trunk, trapping him and rendering him helpless and vulnerable.

Sora laughed. "Forced by other humans you say? Well, I've heard better lies before. Why would someone force you to come here? But anyway, you're still quite young so I want to give you a chance. You have two choices now. First, you run now as fast as you can and get the hell out of my forest and never return, or...second option, I will make you my food and eat you alive" The demonic dragon whispered to the boy with his teeth bared and an evil look on his face. Sora didn't know that the boy had no idea where he was and that letting him go wouldn't really change something, since he would freeze if he didn't find a way out.

Eaten alive?! The mere thought of becoming food for such an unholy creature made Joel want to curl up into a tight, shivering ball, forever. He slowly got up, not even breaking eye contact with the twisted dragon for even a millisecond. He was horrified that it didn't believe him, as he was clearly telling the truth. He was scared for his life now. Very hesitantly, Joel edged his way around the tree trunk to get further away from the dragon, and soon, he was finally standing in front of the beast, staring at him in a shivering wreck. Those eyes. Those blood red eyes. They bored into his soul, and he felt that if he kept staring into them, he would go mentally insane. They showed no mercy, no remorse and no sympathy. Only hate, disgust and pure evil. That was when Joel lost it. He burst into tears and ran off into the forest as fast as he could, wailing as loud as he could incase by a miracle, someone managed to hear him. He had to get away. He just had to get away…

Sora had a huge grin on his face as he saw the human crying and running away. He then jumped for him and landed right behind him and snarled, just to scare him a little more. The boy yelped and kept running. "And never return or you'll end up as my food" He shouted after him and grinned. He did his job good again without hurting a soul and then continued his walk through the forest to see if there were more of them around, maybe his friends. But something was new, something he had never felt for a human before, but when he looked down at the frightened human, he could feel some kind of sympathy for him and deep inside, he knew that this human was innocent. He sighed and kept walking through the forest while the air got colder and the sky darker.

Meanwhile, Joel was running as fast as he could through the nightmarish forest. He didn't hear the dragon shout after him because hot blood was pounding in his ears. He winced in pain as the branches of trees hit his cheeks, stinging them as he ran, but he didn't care. He just wanted to get out of this godforsaken forest. The dragon was fresh in his mind, like he was looking straight at it. Joel couldn't forget it's hellish, blood red eyes and it's evil, twisted grin no matter how hard he tried. His head felt like it was going to implode. Joel kept running for half an hour straight, not even stopping to catch his breath. He had ran in the same direction from which he came, but alas, not even the tiniest sign of an exit was visible. When his energy and his will to carry on running depleted, he collapsed onto the floor, wheezing heavily. When he finally regained his breath, he starting sobbing. He cried, he and he cried. Joel thought he was going to die because he couldn't find his way out of the forest. He would die at the hands of that monster at no fault of his own. It was impossible to escape, and he couldn't get his head around how something so evil could exist. Joel would still have to try to hide. Nearby, he found an old, hollow oak tree, which he slowly clambered into and kept sobbing. That beast had found him before, and it would find him again. Joel knew that his fate was sealed. He was going to die, and never see the light of day ever again…

Sora soon settled down next to a small lake and relaxed, looking at himself in the water. "What am I?" He whispered to himself and sighed, wondering what the human was doing right now and if he was already out of the forest. He still had his scent in his nose, he couldn't be that far away." Maybe he really got lost and is going to freeze to death because of you. He will die because of you. You sweared to never kill innocent humans that come into your forest" His concience kept saying to him and he played with the thought of searching him again and guiding him out of the forest. But he was a demon and this was a boy who went into his forest without permission, but what if he didn't lie and just got here because some other stupid humans wanted him to, to see if he was brave enough. Sora looked up to the sky as it suddenly started to snow and the air was getting colder and colder. The demon who saved the human, a strange thought, but his heart kept telling him to do the right thing.

Joel was still curled up inside the tree trunk. He was waiting for his almost certain death, but that monster wasn't showing up at all. Joel was absolutely traumatised. He still couldn't stop thinking about the demonic dragon and it's evil, sickening smile. It took his mind off of things that were important to his survival, such as hunger, thirst and even pain from the injuries he had sustained. His whole body felt numb and cold. His clothes had been torn in places and his cheeks were covered in small cuts from the branches. Joel looked at his shaking hands. They were almost blue, and Joel thought that if the dragon didn't get him first, then the cold would take him onto the afterlife, that was if it even existed…

Sora went up and down the lake, thinking of what to do. Leaving the human to his fate or help him? The boy still seemed to be in the forest and it started to snow and the air was far to cold for humans to survive outside all on their own. He couldn't take this any longer. "Ok now come on, think straight, if you don't help the human now he's going to die...you have to carry him to the next town" He said to himself, but suddenly stopped his walking. "But...what if I keep him, maybe for a night or two...I could keep him warm and have someone to talk to. Doesn't seem to be too bad" Sora whispered to himself and finally made a decission. Then he unfolded his black wings and took off into the cold air, following the human's scent.

Joel was still curled up in the tree trunk. His body temperature was slightly lower than normal, and he was shivering intensely. Joel had stopped crying a long time ago, after he had cried so much that he couldn't cry anymore. His eyes felt cold and very sore, and the tears on his cheeks were starting to freeze. Then, he noticed a couple of cold, white flakes land on his head. "G-great…" He muttered. It was snowing. With such little warmth, so little clothing and in an environment as cold as this, Joel was now almost one hundred percent sure that he was going to die. Painfully, either from the cold, or the dragon, but he silently prayed that if the dragon found him, that he would kill him quickly and put him out of his tormented misery.

It wasn't difficult for Sora to find the human. The humans' scent was strong and he could smell them from a distance of many kilometres. He saw him sitting curled up in a tree trunk and slowly flew down and quietly landed on the forest floor right in front of the tree trunk. "Ok now, you're not scary...you're not scary" He whispered to himself, repeating the sentence again and again as he approached the tree trunk. The human hadn't recognized him yet and he bent his head down to the small hole and looked inside with his glowing eyes.

Joel was close to fainting at this point. What an eventful day he had. First, he was forced into a huge, dark forest by his so-called 'friends', then he was given a death threat by a demonic dragon creature, and now, he was going to die from the freezing cold weather. But now, the dragon was nowhere to be seen, and Joel slowly closed his eyes, accepting that his fate was sealed within the dark cascades of these trees. No one would find his body. It would serve as a mere nourishment to the crows, rats, insects and the other scavengers that lived in the forest. Suddenly, Joel heard something very faint from outside his hiding spot. Was that a whisper? No, he thought he was imagining things and continued to wait for death to claim him. But then, he heard a strange shuffling noise, directly from outside the tree trunk. Ever so slowly, Joel opened his eyes… and saw the demonic dragon creature looking straight at him with it's terrifying, blood-red eyes. Adrelinine surged into Joel's veins, giving him so energy and snapping him to his senses. He screamed at the top of his lungs and tried to push away from the dragon as much as he could, but it was useless. The beast had him cornered in the solid tree trunk. Joel simply curled up into a tight ball, shielding his face from the dragon and sobbed, "M-Mommy! D-Daddy…!" He tried to scream, but only managed to speak in a strangled, raspy voice.

Sora couldn't deny it anymore. he really felt sympathy with the boy and this one really seemed to be different. He wasn't like all the others. Usually, Sora would just laugh when he heard humans screaming in fear, but not this time. This boy was freezing and he would die without his help. As he heard him crying for his mommy and daddy, it gave him the rest and he sighed. He then tried to sound as nice as possible as he began to speak. "Hey little one, are you alright?" He asked, looking into the hole of the tree trunk.

Joel struggled in an attempt to escape, but then, he froze. Did the dragon just ask him if he was  alright? After how bad the dragon had DELIBERATELY scared him, a small, defenceless child, and made him fear for his life, he actually had the pure nerve to ask him if he was alright?! Joel felt something boiling up inside him. Something which he never expected to feel towards this twisted beast. It wasn't sadness, fear, dread or shock. It was anger. Yes, Joel was terrified and thought he was going to die, but deep down, he was furious at the irony of the dragon's sudden change in behaviour. Joel managed to gather all the courage he had left, look the demon square in the face and wipe his tears away, "S-so…?" He said in a stern, almost toneless voice, "… you think you're big, huh? You think you're so mighty and powerful…?" He stood up, climbing out of the trunk. As he looked the dragon in the eyes, he was already staring to regret his move. But Joel didn't want to go down so eagerly, he wanted to fight back, and not die in vain.

Sora wasn't moving and just looked at the boy with his big, glowing eyes. Now, the boy seemed to be in state of total desperation. It was clear that he expected to die and wanted to use his last energy left to fight for his life. Sora could see the fear in his eyes as he looked up at him and sighed. "Listen human, I'm not here to hurt you. I just scared you so you run away and never return into my forest. But now you're lost and half frozen and that makes me be responsible. And that's why I want you to trust me, as hard as this may sound. You have no choice and I won't let you die here" The demonic dragon answered.

Joel snarled at this and flashed the dragon an angry, ugly glare. After how he was treated before, there was no way that he was buying an apology from the beast, "Oh, so the 'big, scarwy dwagon' is trying to be nice to the 'puny little human'? Well it didn't take you long to change your mind, didn't it…? Screw you, you deluded lizard! You think I'm just going to completely forget about how you treated me?! I thought I was going to die in this forest, and I was BEGGING you for mercy! But no, you wanted to feel good about yourself by picking on me… w-who is… compared to you, a small, defenceless and lost creature…" Joel's eyes began welling up with tears as he let all his anger out on the dragon, "… I thought I was going to die… why…?! W-what did I do to deserve this…?" He weakly kicked some snow into the dragon's face before limping off into the woods using his newfound energy, sobbing loudly, "I-I'd rather die in the cold…!" He shouted back at him in a tearful voice, "I-I hope you feel g-good about your actions…!"

Sora sighed. "Here it is, the bad side of being a demon" He said to himself and followed the human. He wasn't fast so it was easy for him to follow him. As he was close enough, he jumped and landed right over him and pinned him down, but didn't hurt him with this. After all he really didn't plan to hurt him. He then growled down at the human, and revealed his teeth again. "You were begging for nothing because I never wanted to kill you. I was just scaring you and I let you run didn't I? And the only reason I came back here is to prevent you from dying a worthless death out here and save you from the cold so it would be pretty nice if you could calm down now and forget about the past" Sora said, getting louder and angrier the longer he spoke and almost shouted at the human when he finished.

Joel yelped as he was knocked onto the ground by the dragon's paw. He was absolutely terrified, but he channeled some of his fear into more anger and struggled under the huge paw of the dragon, "Yeah, but the question is, why didn't you do that before?!" He yelled, sobbing slightly, "I wasn't doing ANYTHING wrong! I was lost! I couldn't help that! Don't try to worm your way out of this by trying to be nice to me! You scared me half to death, belittled me and threatened to kill me! Who cares if it's the past? It still happened! You still tried to make yourself feel all high and mighty by scaring me and making me cry! Maybe you could have used that power of your's to be charitable, or caring… but no… you did the complete opposite. And guess what? I'm not afraid of you anymore! I don't care what you do! I will always HATE you, and there is nothing you can do to change that!" He hit the paw as hard as he could, trying to find a weak-spot.

Sora looked down in shame. "You are right, but I'm a demon after all and I'm the protector of this forest. All those human kids come here, making parties and leaving their garbage here, not caring for the nature, destroying everthing on their way. That's why I don't really like humans and why I wanted to scare you away. Also, I had no clue you were lost. I just wanted you to go away and leave this forest in peace. And I really don't care if you hate me now for the rest of your life, I won't let you die and I will keep that promise, if you like it or not" The demnoic dragon said a little bit upset and also a little angry.

Joel opened his mouth to go on another rant at the dragon, but then, he stopped. For some reason, he actually felt a little regretful about speaking to him in such a harsh, hateful manner. He looked around. This forest was the dragon's home and also his pride, and to have it wrecked by humans must have been horrible for him. It must have been why he was approached in such a hostile manner. And yet again, this 'demon' actually wanted to help him. Joel, in a way, actually admired him. The demon was very tolerant of his pathetic struggling and ranting, and the anger which was boiling up inside Joel simmered down to guilt and sadness. He gulped, before slowly looking up at the dragon, "Oh… I-I never r-realised that this forest… meant so much to you… I-I f-forgive you, and I d-don't hate you…" Joel started crying, "I'm sorry! I'm so, so sorry! Y-you're… you're right! I am puny! I don't even deserve your help! I want to go home! I want my Mommy and Daddy! I want to leave this forest and never return! I want to leave you in peace to make up for being so horrible!" He hugged the dragon's paw tightly and sobbed, feeling ashamed at his own actions.

Sora smiled and bent down to the human, nuzzling him lightly. "I think it's a little bit too late for this and I can't just let you go home, but don't worry I won't hurt you and I will bring you back home tomorrow" He said in a friendly voice now, that was completely unfitting in combination with his scary looking outiside. He then gave him a friendly lick on his cheek. The human tasted good, even better than expected and he licked him again. Maybe this would be the right way to gain the boy's trust and give him a warm place to sleep, in a demonic way.

Joel slowly calmed himself down. His attitude towards the dragon had completely changed when he discovered why he was being so aggressive in the first place. Joel had even began to trust the dragon a little bit. He may have been a demon, and may have treated him badly in the past, but he seemed trustworthy, genuine, and a lot more friendly than before. Joel would rather risk it with this friendly, but scary-looking dragon than stay out in the cold. When the dragon nuzzled him, Joel threw himself forward and hugged him tightly around his muzzle, "T-thank you so much…" He whimpered happily, "I-I guess you're not mean a-after all…"

Sora giggled and licked the boy again when he hugged his snout. Never before, a human was being nice to him. Well, maybe because he had never been nice to them too, but he really had the feeling that this was a good human and that he wasn't a danger for his forest. But then, the smile disappeared from his face since he knew what would come next and that could destroy all the trust right off. "Listen human, I need to keep you warm to night otherwise you'll freeze to death and I want you to fully trust me, because this will maybe scare you to death" He said nervously as he looked down at the boy.

Joel was surprised at the dragon's sudden change of tone. Judging by the way that the dragon spoke, he sounded like he was about to tell the truth and it seemed that he was genuinely worried for Joel's well being and safety. Even after all that had gone on between human and demon, Joel trusted him, because he had already grasped an understanding of the dragon's true intention - to keep him safe. Joel smiled and gently rubbed his muzzle, "Come on. If it k-keeps me warm and safe… I'll do it… I trust you now…"

"Well, then I have to ask you to take your shirt and pants off" Sora said a little bit embarrassed and looked into the boy's eyes. He knew what he was going to do would still scare the human and he was risking to loose that trust again, but he had to get him warm quickly. His face was already changing color into blue and his whole body was shivering from the cold.

Joel, although he did trust the dragon, was very confused at why he wanted him to remove his shirt and pants. How was that going to make him warm? If anything, it would make him colder. He slowly removed his tattered shirt and pants until he was left standing in the snow, shivering lightly in his underwear, "Alright then… what next? Could you tell me… um… I wonder if you have a name…"

Sora was chuckling lightly at the human shivering in the snow with just his underpants on. "Even demons have names. Mine is Sora" He said softly and licked over the human's chest with his red glowing, warm tongue and smiled at him. "And may you also tell me yours?" He asked and gave him another lick, covering his chest in thick, black saliva.

Joel blushed. Did Sora find it amusing that he was standing in the middle of a snowy forest in his underwear? Oh well, Joel was willing to do anything to keep warm. When Sora licked him, he observed the strange, warm, sticky, black liquid that his tongue left behind after it licked him. Joel assumed that this was his saliva, and for some reason, it actually felt… comforting. Joel smiled, "Well, my name is Joel. It's pretty awesome to meet you, Sora." He grinned. His name reminded him of Kingdom Hearts, one of his favourite video game series as a small child.

"Nice to hear Joel and I guess now you should know what warm place I have for you" Sora said, giggling lightly and gave him another lick over his chest and face. He just hoped that Joel wouldn't be too frightened, but he would probably be even more scared if Sora was just swallowing him without telling him. He knew that the boy would be just warm and safe in his belly, but Joel didn't and was probably thinking that Sora only wanted him for food.

Joel smiled at the thought of being somewhere warm and safe. He now trusted Sora fully, and the licks that he was giving Joel were very soft, warm and calming. They even tickled him, which caused him to giggle slightly himself. He hugged the dragon's snout, even giving it a small lick in return, "Y-yay! That would be nice… it's getting a little cold now…" Joel said in a shivery, stuttering voice.

Sora was pretty surprised now after he told him that he would be eaten, or didn't the boy understand as he asked him if he knew now where he was going, but maybe he really didn't mind. "All right then, relax now" He whispered to him and opened his red glowing maw with the scary, black and sharp teeth in it and he wrapped his long tongue around the boy's waist and sucked on him.

Joel smiled and closed his eyes when Sora said for him to relax, but when he felt something long, soft and wet wrap around him, he reopened them. He yelped when he saw Sora's wide open maw. He had seen the light shining through his teeth before, which was scary, but this was something else. Joel gulped before eventually whimpering, "Sora…? W-what are you doing?! NO!"

"Shhhh, relax...it's okay" sora whispered, trying to comfort the human as he pulled him further into his red glowing mouth. When he was fully inside, Sora closed his maw around the boy and began to lick him all over to make it easier for him to swallow him down into his stomach. The human's taste was simply amazing and he purred all the way while tossing him around in his maw to get more of his taste.

Joel's heart skipped a beat when he felt the grip of Sora's glowing, red tongue tighten around him, and then, he was pulled straight into the demon's mouth. He screamed when he felt his tongue sliding over him, probably tasting him. There wasn't a single inch of his body that the tongue didn't miss, and tears filled his eyes when Joel heard a loud, drumming noise of around him. Purring. Not only had Sora betrayed him, but he was also enjoying it. Joel felt devastated. He let his guard down at completely the wrong time, and now he was going to suffer the consequences. To die a slow, painful death and provide this sick, twisted dragon with energy. He would be nothing more than a layer of fat on Sora's belly, and this thought made Joel scream and thrash around, hitting Sora's tongue and trying to make the experience as unpleasant as he could for the dragon. "I… I trusted you…" He sobbed, "… you gave me f-false hope… I-I thought I was going to l-live…" He eventually grew tired and lay on Sora's tongue, sobbing and covered from head to toe in his thick, black saliva.

Sora knew that he couldn't stop now. He had gone too far already and now he had to suffer the consequences. He wrapped his tongue tightly around the boy's body to make him stop trashing around, but he couldn't talk with the human in his mouth, that made it quite complicated to communicate. He sighed since he knew that he could only talk again when the human was down in his stomach, but swallowing him would probably give him the rest. He had no other choice. Slowly, he moved the poor kid to the back of his mouth, towards his gaping throat hole.

Joel started to hyperventilate. It was just like out of the stories he read as a child. He was being eaten alive by an actual dragon… demon… thing. He yelped as Sora's tongue wrapped tightly around his body, and he tried to push back against it, but the red, glowing muscle was too strong and kept him firmly in place. Then, Joel saw the sight that he had been dreading to see the whole time. The throat, and Sora was taking him closer to it. Joel screamed and thrashed in an attempt to escape, but he couldn't. The dragon's tongue prevented him from doing so. Gasping for breath and absolutely exhausted, Joel now knew that he was going down Sora's throat, whether he liked it or not.

Sora felt really bad for the boy and just wanted to stop, but the taste was just overwhelming and he purred loudly. He tasted sweet and salty at the same time. He knew where the salty taste came from. It was from his tears. The boy was crying and Sora swallowed him whole and alive. How could he be so cruel? It was the first time in his life he really felt sympathy for a human being, even though he knew that the boy would be safe. He then slowly moved him to the back of his maw and titled his head back, letting him slide feet first into his hungry, glowing gullet.

Joel had lost all hope of escaping now, as he slowly felt himself sliding closer to Sora's throat and his tongue was holding him firmly in place. He just sobbed, thinking about his family and friends, how worried they would be. They would never know how Joel disappeared, as they wouldn't be able to find his body. It would  be reduced to mush within the dragon's gut, and that thought made Joel want to throw up, but he couldn't. He forgot to eat before he came into the forest. Then, he yelped as he felt the glowing red, wet chamber shift upwards. This was it. He was about to be swallowed alive, and there was nothing he could do about it. Joel managed to stutter out a goodbye to his friends and his family, before the tongue let go, and he finally slid down into the pulsing red throat of Sora, never to see the light of day again.

It broke Sora's heart apart to hear Joel crying and whimpering. But he was already half swallowed and there was no way to stop it now. The only thing he could do now was swallowing him quickly and get him into his warm stomach so he could try to comfort him again. He then swallowed again and forced the boy completely into his gullet and felt the small bulge travel down his throat.

Joel was slowly forced down the throat of Sora, who a few minutes ago, he trusted with his life. Joel wanted to struggle, to try to make the experience uncomfortable for Sora, but he had lost all will to fight back against the demon. He just sobbed as the glowing red, pulsing walls forced him to his final resting place - Sora's stomach. Red. It was all he could see. Even when Joel had his eyes closed, all he could see was fluorescent, red light emitting from Sora's innards, and it absolutely terrified him. It reminded him of the pain, terror and suffering yet to come.

Sora finally finished to swallow and forced him down into his stomach. After he squeezed into the tight chamber, he let out a loud belch. "Oops, sorry little one. Are you okay in there? I'm sorry that I scared you so hard, but well...this is the warm place to sleep I had promised. It's completely safe though, so nothing to worry about" he said softly and rubbed the little bulge in his belly.

The demon's apology simply went through Joel's ear and out the other. He was too distraught and terrified to even speak, and after a short amount of time, he burst into tears and hit the walls, "I t-trusted you! I thought that you weren't as bad as I thought! But you lied! I-I let m-my guard down, and what did you do…? You ate me! You traitor, Sora! I actually had hope for a while!" He sobbed and yelled at the same time, before hitting the red, glowing walls and screaming, "I HATE you!" Between each hit.

That last sentence hit Sora right into his heart. Even though he was a demon, he still had feelings and this really hurt him. "Didn't you listen Joel? You're safe. I would never hurt an innocent, helpless human and even though I hate humans sometimes, I felt that you're different and I only ate you to protect you and give you a warm place to sleep" the dragon answered in a sad tone.

Joel stopped hitting the stomach walls and crossed his arms. "D-don't even think about acting all innocent again! The last time I felt sympathetic towards you, you ATE me! I-I just hope that I'll give you a very bad case of indigestion!" He yelled, so Sora could hear him under the layers of scales, fat and muscle. Although he felt absolutely furious at Sora, there was a voice in the back of his head telling him that everything was going to be alright. Maybe, just maybe, Sora was actually trying to keep him warm. Maybe he was trying to make up for being so horrible to him. But alas, he just sighed deeply and stayed silent, dismissing the thought as a flaw in his own conscience.

Sora sighed. "Listen. You aren't in any pain are you? And you're warm aren't you? I really didn't mean to hurt you and it doesn't matter if you believe me or not, I will keep you safe until the morning" He said a little sad as he lay down and let out another sigh.

Joel's conscience was really starting to effect him now. The ever-growing feeling of trust was  causing him to feel more safe and secure, and most importantly, to have faith in Sora. His eyes filled with tears when he heard sadness in the dragon's voice, so he slowly reached out to one of the walls and gently rubbed it with his shaking hand, "S-sorry… you j-just… scared me… t-thank you so much…" He curled up in a ball and whimpered.

Sora smiled again and sighed in relief. "Shhh, it's okay little one and I guess it's just natural to be afraid if something eats you, but I guarantee that my stomach is just a warm and comfy place to sleep for you...and maybe a little slimy...sorry about that" The demon chuckled.

Joel sat up in the stomach, before giving the red, glowing wall closest to him a big hug, "You really scared me, S-sora!" He said, in a very shaky, but relieved voice, "D-don't worry… it's really soft and warm in here, but I don't know how I'll be able to sleep… it's too bright in here…" Joel mumbled, curiously poking the walls as his fear of Sora was replaced with trust and faith in him.

Sora chuckled and poked the bulge in his belly. "Don't worry, I can make it dark for you in there. You have to know that we demons have more abilities you can even imagine. If I wanted to, I could let you die a horrible and painful death in there or could even digest you completely painless...or I can offer my belly as a warm place to sleep the night" He said.

When Sora brought up the subject of digestion, Joel struggled a little and held onto the wall closest to him, "N-NO! P-please, don't!" He cried, terrified and once again on the verge of sobbing.

Sora felt the struggled from inside and gently stroked over his belly. "Shhh, you don't have to worry about that. I had never digested a human before and I wouldn't dare to do it to you" The demonic dragon whispered to Joel in a soft and calming voice.

Joel's struggling ceased, and he lay himself back down into the fleshy walls of Sora's stomach. He poked the walls, wide-eyed and breathing heavily, "L-listen… don't you EVER even bring up digestion in any way, shape or form ever again whilst I'm in here… I nearly fainted…" He whimpered softly. Sora's calm tone had diminished his fear, and once again, he felt calm, safe and secure within the demonic dragon's belly.

Sora felt the struggling stop and just felt the gentle movements from inside now. "You can trust me Joel, you're safe inside me. How is it in there by the way?" He asked grinning and lay back against the cave walls.

Joel giggled and playfully nuzzled the walls, "Well… imagine being surrounded by very soft, red, glowing rubber. It's also squishy and slimy in here, and the air is very warm and humid. If you ask me, I love it in here!" Joel grinned and hugged the stomach walls of the dragon.

Sora purred from the hug from inside and gently rubbed his belly. "That's nice to hear little one...I'm glad you like it and you're welcome to visit it again...sometime maybe" He said and giggled slightly.

Joel froze. What did Sora mean by 'sometime maybe'? Was he going to never leave this forest? Would Sora force him to live with him forever, and maybe make him some kind of pet, or a snack? He hoped that wasn't the case, but Joel knew that deep down, that wasn't probably how Sora worked. He was most likely just joking and after all, he had been very kind and caring by protecting Joel from the cold and giving him somewhere to sleep. Joel just chuckled nervously, "Yeah… maybe…"

"No seriously, I would be glad if you visit me here again. It's sometimes a little bit lonely here" Sora answered in a little bit of a sad tone and sighed. "But I can understand that you don't really want to come back. That's the bad side of being a demon and sometimes it isn't even fun if people are afraid of you. Sometimes it's just depressing" The demonic dragon said and lay his head down on his paws.

Joel's heart drooped a little when he heard Sora talking so negatively about himself. He may have been scary before, but he was just trying to protect his home from being destroyed, and this made Joel really sad. He tried to picture himself in Sora's position, to try to imagine the sheer pain that the dragon must have endured, seeing his home slowly deteriorating thanks to mankind's arrogance. Very slowly, Joel hugged the walls and cooed to Sora softly, "Aww, don't beat yourself up, Sora. You might have scared me before, but now… I-I can see you're not evil, and that you're kind and gentle. I really like you for that. I don't think you're scary anymore. So I'll visit this forest everyday if I can! I can't bear to see you alone, you poor thing… you don't have to worry about loneliness anymore, Sora… because you've just earned yourself a new best friend…"

Sora stunned. He was out of words. Did this humans just really asked him to be his friend? More than that, his best friend. The dragon couldn't believe what he just heard, but he felt that Joel was really trusting him and his mood changed. "Thank you so much little one, it would be nice to have you as a friend and of course you can visit the forest whenever you want. I will protect you" he said and nuzzled his belly happily.

Joel smiled warmly and snuggled up to the walls. He was feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, because he knew that he had just made a very special friend. A friend which was way better than the back-stabbing kids at school. A dragon. Joel's eyes filled with tears. It had been his childhood dream to meet a real dragon, and now he had achieved it. Not only that, he had also befriended it! "That's great, Sora, it means so much to me. I'll always be here for you If you would prefer, I'll even try to stop the kids from my school from entering the forest!"

Sora giggled and rubbed his slightly bulging belly. "You don't have to get yourself into any trouble. Also it's still kind of amusing to scare silly teens away who think they're super brave and come into my forest. But I felt that you're not one of them, plus you were lost and half frozen. It was my duty to help you and offer you a warm and safe place to stay" the dragon answered softly.

Joel found himself nodding slowly at what Sora had said. It must have been boring spending the majority of your life guarding a forest, so scaring the 'super brave' visitors must have been Sora's way of making his own life more entertaining. Yes, it was sick, but it was certainly understandable. "Yeah…" He mumbled sleepily and nuzzled the pulsing walls, "… you might be a bit scary, but I know that deep down, you're a softie." Joel giggled and gave the wall he was leaning against a hug, causing him to sink into the glowing, red flesh.

The demon giggled and poked his belly. "Yeah, I probably am. What do you think your parents would say if they see you all happy in a demonic dragon's belly who just ate you alive?" He asked chuckling and leaned back against the cave wall to relax with his full belly.

Joel's eyes widened. His parents! He had completely forgotten about them. They were probably concerned at the fact that he hadn't came home yet. But then, he relaxed. Joel could just tell his parents that he stayed over at a friend's house for the night, as it was Saturday after all. But he was pretty sure that none of his friends lived inside the belly of a dragon. Joel shrugged off the nagging thoughts in the back of his head and laughed at the demon's silly question. It put some funny pictures in his head, "To be honest, Sora, I have no idea… but one thing for sure. I would DEFINITELY be grounded… for at least a month…"

"Well, how about I go to your home and tell your parents. I would like to get to know them" Sora joked and chuckled slightly. Joel was really the first human who ever trusted him and his parents would probably pass out right off if they got told that their son is in a dragon's stomach.

For a second, Joel thought that Sora was being serious, as he trusted him so much, "NO NO NO NO NO! Bad idea! Very bad idea! I think it would be best if you stayed here, Sora… you wouldn't want to draw any accidental attention to yourself. I want you all to myself!" Joel giggled and rubbed the walls around him.

"Hehehe, you got me all to yourself, don't worry. It would probably cause a panic anyway" the dragon giggled. "But now you should go to sleep, it's getting late" he said softly and stopped the glowing from inside his stomach so Joel could sleep better inside.

Joel had completely forgotten how late it was. He looked at his watch, which read '01:00'. When he realised how late it was, he yawned and stretched, pushing outwards into Sora's pulsing stomach walls, "Yeah, it's getting awfully late… thank you so much, Sora… I'm sorry for everything I said…" Joel sighed and curled up, preparing to fall asleep.

Sora lay down in his cave and closed his eyes. "It's not a problem my little friend. You did nothing wrong and I will keep you warm and safe for the night, okay" he said in a friendly tone and licked the bulge in his belly before also yawning. Even demons had to sleep.

"Good night my little friend" Sora answered softly and smiled as he was getting tired aswell and yawned again before he was gently lulled into sleep, happy about the human now being warm and safely tucked away inside of him.

Joel slowly woke up in the morning. He couldn't tell what time in the morning it was, as it was so dark inside Sora's stomach, but strangely, he felt very refreshed. Most people would say it is very hard to get a good night's sleep, but Joel knew that he had achieved that. And he felt amazing. Joel smiled when he remembered yesterday's events and rubbed the walls of Sora's stomach gently.

Sora suddenly felt movements from within his belly and up and stared at his belly in surprise. Then he suddenly remembered. "Oh I almost forgot. Hey little one, how are you doing in there?" He asked giggling and rubbed his belly with a smile on his face.

Joel jumped at the sound of Sora's voice. It echoed from all around him, and as the dragon was so happy to see him, he was rather loud indeed. Joel shrugged it off and hugged the wall closest to him, "Sora, I loved it! I hadn't had that much sleep in ages!"

Sora laughed, it tickled when Joel was hugging his stomach from inside and he rubbed his belly where Joel was hugging him. "That's nice to hear. I didn't know my stomach is such a nice bed. You're welcome to visit it again whenever you want" the demon said softly and stood up to bring the boy home now.

Joel felt himself shift slightly as his demon dragon friend stood up. He giggled as his belly swayed gently, causing him to move with it. "You know what? I'll be very happy to sleep in here again!" Joel grinned and gently scratched the wall closest to him.

Sora purred at the boy's scratches on his stomach walls and smiled as he made his way to the edge of the forest.

Joel grinned at the purrs of his demonic dragon friend. He found it crazy how he and Sora went from bitter enemies to best friends during the space of less than a day. He swayed gently with Sora's belly, not knowing where he was taking him, but wherever it was, he trusted him.

Sora went through the forest with a large smile on his face, his belly gently swaying from side to side with his little friend inside. He had never believed that it felt so good to have a friend and not to be alone anymore and he promised himself to always protect him and keep him away from any harm. He soon reached the edge of the forest, but stayed hidden behind some bushes and trees. He then sighed and bent down to his belly. "Hey little one, ride is over now".

"Ok, Sora! I'm ready!" Joel shouted so Sora could hear him through all the layers of muscle, fat and scales that made up Sora's body. Joel felt a little sad leaving his friend's belly. Although it had terrified him at first, he had never been so comfortable in his life and it was one of the first times he had slept properly. To leave the soft, pillowy, red walls and all of their warmth behind actually made Joel a little sad. But he had to leave. His parents were probably starting to look for him now, so he had to hurry home!

Sora coughed and began to regurgitate, pushing the boy back up his throat, making sure to not hurt him. Swallowing him down was much easier and nicer, but he knew he had to release him now. And maybe if he was lucky, Joel would come again and let himself be eaten again. When he was back in his mouth, Sora licked him all over to get his taste before wrapping his tongue around his waist and putting him down carefully.

Joel giggled as he felt the muscles of Sora's esophogas mould around his miniature form and gently knead him back up his throat. It felt like when he was swallowed, but this time, it was backwards instead. By the time he had reached Sora's mouth, Joel was laughing and squirming frantically, as Sora had begun to lick him again, most likely to amuse him… or taste him. When Joel was finally outback onto the snow-covered earth, drenched from head to toe in saliva and stomach fluids, Joel flung himself at the snout of Sora, rubbing it happily and hugging it as best as he could, "S-Sora! That was AWESOME!"

Sora giggled and lifted him off his snout and hugged him, pressing him against his chest. "Aww, it's a shame I have to let you go, now when it's so cold outside...I hope you will come over for a visit soon" he said and gently stroked over his back.

It hit Joel like a brick wall. Reality. He was going to have to leave Sora now. His best friend, who had saved his life not long ago. He shivered as Sora stroked over his back, as it was helping to warm him up. To leave the loving, caring warmth of the dragon made Joel feel devastated, although he knew it wouldn't be forever. He looked up at Sora, feeling tears well up in his eyes, "D-don't go… not now…"

"I got to go... some more children to death" he joked and nuzzled the boy's chest. "I guess your parents are already worried about you. You don't want to make them cry do you?" He said and have him a last, tight hug.

Joel hugged back tightly, trying his hardest not to cry. When their hug broke, Joel took a step backwards, sadly looking into Sora's evil eyes, which now looked very friendly indeed to him, "N-no… It's ju-just sad to leave you… you're just so special t-to me… and I promise I-I'll return to you as soon as I can…"

"Awww, don't cry Joel. I'll be there for you whenever you need me and whenever you feel alone or sad, just come into my forest and I will take care for you" he answered and gave him a lick over his face for good bye and smiled and watched the boy as he slowly made his way back into the village.

Joel smiled warmly through his tears at Sora, "And I'll be here for you too. Goodbye, Sora… I k-know this won't be the end…" Joel stuttered as he slowly started walking backwards, away from the smiling dragon. It was funny, because Sora, as someone who he first saw from his worst nightmares, was now someone who he wanted to hug just by looking at him. The young boy sighed happily, but slightly desperately, before flashing Sora a wink and turning away and running as fast as he could towards the edge of the dark, gloomy forest. His heart pounded as he skipped over fallen logs, branches and roots. Then, he saw it. Penetrating through the trees and lighting up a path for him. Daylight! A huge, triumphant grin spread across his lips as he burst out of the tree line and fell to his knees onto the cold, white ground, absorbing the sunlight into his skin like a plant just after dawn. Joel took a deep breath and kept running. He was close. His friends' camp was just… there! They were all still there, huddling around a smouldering campfire and a tent, waiting for him and chattering about whether the forest really was haunted and he had been taken away by evil spirits. Joel ran into the middle of all his so-called friends, panting and filling his own eyes with fake fear. The kid who dared him to enter the woeful woods, Jake, stood up from the rest of the group and very hesitantly approached Joel, a very confused look splattered across his face and his nose wrinkled in absolute disgust. "Joel! What the hell happened to you?! What's all this black slime you're cov…" Joel silenced him by quickly grabbing his shoulder and looking him straight in the eyes. He gulped, stood his ground, the image of Sora's demonic smile flashing clearly within his fragile mind. It was ironic now, as the dragon's grin wasn't even slightly intimidating to him anymore. It seemed… so friendly. Joel trembled with fear and choked out a single sentence that shocked all of the young boys to the core.

"L-listen… all of you… never even THINK about g-going into t-that fucking forest… never again…"

- THE END
A boy is dared to enter the supposedly-haunted, local forest by his friends, but he finds a lot more than just trees and leaves…

This is the first completely roleplay-based story I have published. I really enjoyed this roleplay, as it was so cute how the relationship between Joel and Sora changed just like 'that'. It wouldn't have been possible to publish this without :iconacidentertainment:, and I just wanted to thank him for being such a great sport! :)

He's a writer, just like me, and I think that he did a great job playing as Sora, so make sure you give him half the credit for this!

Once again, thank you for reading, and I'll see you all again in my next story. Bye! :dummy:
